Durability: Fun: Educational: I bought these for my 7 year-old son, who is a HUGE Scooby Doo fan. He has received several sets of the traditional SD characters, and loves them. He uses them in imaginary play often. The only problem is that he loved them so much, that many characters were missing arms, legs or heads. He continued to play with a headless Shaggy for some time. I bought this set because it was targeted toward pre-schoolers and looked like it might be more durable than the previous sets. I was quite disappointed when the Shaggy Character had a broken piece right out of the box. Since then, Scooby's front leg has broken. I gave them a high rating for fun, because my son really likes them, but don't buy these if you want durability. By the way, I have not noticed any strange smell to the characters at all (as mentioned in a previous review), and I consider myself to be sensitive to smells. Comment | Permalink | (Report this)
