I replaced a pair of really sucky speakers with these and they do exactly what I need them to. The volume is loud enough to fill an office sized room without distortion. The bass is a bit low and I had to turn up the tone nob but most people like deep bass so I'm probably alone in upping the tone (they definitely don't sound tinny). I paid $10 less than they are listed for and think that $30 is a tad bit too much. As long as they don't die within a year they're worth $20.
