Durability: Fun: Educational: I received this toy as a gift for my 3 month old, and I have been very pleased with it. It has vey nice, good quality ambient noise and good classical music selections. The light projections are pretty neat too, and I like that it comes with three different slides to use as your baby's eyesight improves. True each slide only projects three images, but if you're trying to soothe your baby to sleep do you really want some kind of fantastical light show? The key word for this toy is "soothe" and I think it does just that. There are also the nice versatility features of three-level volume control, adjustable timer (5, 10, or 15 minutes), and the ability to use just the lights, lights and sound, or just sound. My only minor quibbles are that it has to be totally dark for the images to really show up. Even turning on the nightlight in our son's room will pretty much wash out the images. Also, there is a slot in the back of the toy to hold the two slides you're not currently using, but one of them always falls out if we move the toy around too much. Could be just a defect with ours, though.
