Durability: Fun: Educational: My daughter got this for her first birthday - this is not a toy for a 1 year old. However we do have a 3 year old who we thought would enjoy these markers instead. This is not a toy for a 3 year old. The 1 year old instantly tried to put the marker in her mouth - as another commenter has mentioned. And my 3 year old immediately put the yellow one against the black one which pretty much ruined the yellow marker. Then he had a very hard time even using any of the markers. Then last night I tried to write/color with them - this is not a toy for a 32 year old. :) I love Crayola but these are awful, awful markers and while they are cute looking - they are not well suited for any kid of any age.
